The New Balance Kids 530 Bungee Lace Trainers in Silver are the infant and toddler version of the Silver Metallic 530, covering EU 21 to EU 27.5 — UK 4.5 to 9.5, corresponding to approximately ages 12 months to 4 years. This is a specifically young-child product: the size ceiling of EU 27.5 sits below junior sizing, making it distinct from the older-children's silver 530 lace version that begins at EU 35.5. The bungee closure — an elasticated cord with a toggle rather than tied laces — is the appropriate fastening for this age range, and has an additional advantage specific to metallic finishes: bungee closures eliminate the repeated friction of lace loops being pulled tight across the tongue and eyelet area, which is one of the places where metallic surface treatments are most vulnerable to scuffing and wear. The Silver Metallic colourway has the same reflective, light-catching finish as the older lace version — a shimmer-surface treatment across the synthetic overlay panels rather than a flat silver-grey. Unisex, suitable for boys and girls. SS2026. Made in Vietnam. Tagged in Activewear and Mini-Me collections.
